1. What is ICME?

Ans. ICME is IILM Institute for Management Education, a division of RKKR Foundation, working under the aegis of IILM Institute for Higher Education. It aims at providing quality business and management learning to deserving aspirants via the Distance Education mode.

Ans. ICME offers programs leading to Certificate, Diploma or PG Diploma in Management. Currently it is offering PGDM (DE).

3. Who awards the certificate/diploma?

Ans. Certification will be awarded from IILM Institute of Higher Education (Distance Education Council, Govt. of India approved). The program is approved by the Distance Education Council (DEC) Govt. Of India which is the certificate-awarding body.

4. What is the mode of certification?

Ans. Students will be awarded a Diploma in Management (DIM) can be acquired by completing 1 year of the course. After completion of Diploma in Management students have to pursue 1.5 year of further study to be eligible for award of PGDM diploma.

5. Who is the program meant for?

Ans. It is meant for all age group individuals who are working as middle/junior level executives/officers in public or private sector / organizations, but have not had an opportunity to acquire formal management education.

Ans. Graduation in any discipline from any UGC recognized University or AICTE.

Ans. ICME offers specialization in all functional areas of management like Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management etc.

Ans. PGDM (DE) is an innovative industry oriented management program designed to bring quality management education within easy reach of deserving aspirants who cannot join full-time campus programs due to professional and/or personal commitments. It is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become superior management professionals and thereby gain a stronghold in the industry.

9. How is the program conducted?

Ans. The course is taught with a blend of self-instructional course material, assignments, audio-visual and face-to-face counseling and tutorials, practicals, life simulations and project works. It efficiently manages the time scope of the student devoted to furthering his/her professional qualification while continuing with his other commitments.

Ans. The course is of 2.5 years’ duration divided into 5 semesters of 6 months each.
